It is now the home of Anne and David Marshall who have carried out extensive renovations. Despite the changes, the building still has its original features and retains much of its 19th Century charm.
At the back of the property, they have built an indoor swimming pool with a flat roof. Walk up the steps and set foot on the roof and you will be rewarded with an area for relaxation plus fantastic views of the surrounding landscape.
As it is elevated there is a sheer drop that poses serious safety concerns. The Marshalls knew they would have to fit barriers around the entire perimeter to enjoy the space to its fullest.
The customers had originally hired a different company to install the balustrade. However, they were let down when the installer abandoned the project without any notice, leaving the couple in limbo.
They got in touch with us to take over and (hopefully) restore their confidence in what has been a challenging project.

The balustrade not only has to serve a safety function but also ensure the surrounding views remain unobstructed.
Our frameless glass channel system’s understated look is suitable for all types of buildings – whether modern or traditional. We also use toughened laminate glass that can withstand high impact yet will keep fragments within the pane if broken.
Stainless-steel handrails complete the tasteful design.
We fabricated all stainless-steel parts to the correct dimensions in our production facilities before sending to site for installation.
In total, we installed 30 metres of toughened laminate glass to create a completely safe area that will be enjoyed for years to come.
